Debbie was one of the Baby Bank’s original founders and is a qualified nursery nurse. She has worked in nurseries as a room leader, and a deputy head and has lead nursery classes in school settings working closely with the school home link worker to support families. After having her own family Debbie ran a local toddler group, and volunteered for Home Start supporting vulnerable families in the local area. She leads on the day to day running of the baby bank, liaising with all of our families and professionals.

Claire is a qualified practising Social Worker and Play Therapist. She has worked in early intervention children’s centres, homeless shelters and has been a social worker in child protection and look after children. She currently holds roles in two schools as a play therapist and is the team manager for cared for children in Oxfordshire. She brings an in depth knowledge of how professional agencies work in the child welfare and protection space, and leads on safeguarding.

Sophie began volunteering at the Baby Bank in 2019 after the birth of her first son and became a trustee in 2020. She has a background in educational publishing, project and programme management and uses her experience from the corporate world applying for tenders and grants, and analysing data, to lead on writing the Baby Bank’s grant applications, and data collection and analysis. She also produces our marketing materials and keeps our website updated.
